Born and raised in the Okanagan Valley, Dayley Harper grew up loving life on the lakes and in the mountains. In true local fashion, she and her two sisters were avid participants in seasonal activities - snowboarding, hiking, waterskiing, and sunbathing. Despite the wonderful community in which she was raised, and the picturesque conditions of her upbringing, physical and mental illness consumed nearly a decade of her life. The experiences led to a passionate exploration of what it means to truly be healthy and happy. A 7 year, in-depth study of Chinese medicine, Buddhist psychology, and yoga ensued, reviving her health on all levels. She is grateful to have the opportunity to share this knowledge with her community.
DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER: Often the aim of medicine is purely to make us feel comfortable. We do so by hyper-focusing on eliminating signs and symptoms, regardless of their origin. This results in the root issues being overlooked. Signs and symptoms are messages to help us gain greater insight into how our daily habits are helping us or harming us - information that is vital to our growth and vitality. The aim with this medicine is not to only manage these signs and symptoms rather, it is about fully utilizing them to guide us back to greater health.
EDUCATION & INSPIRATION: The word 'doctor' has it's roots in the word 'teacher'. True health is about educating and empowering oneself and then our communities, on the skills required to cultivate both mental and physical vitality. The aim is to provide you with the tools and understanding to prevent disease and manage your own health. While of course, providing you the space to decompress, rejuvenate, and reset your mental-physical-emotional health!
